Kicking Horse Kayaking

Early morning and evening light are often the nicest light for shooting, but because of the usual need for fast shutter speeds for freezing action sports photography, capturing action at these times of day often presents some challenges.
Occasionally the stars (or at least the sun) aligns, and strong evening light coupled with some mind blowing action presents itself for the lens.
Last Wednesday was one of those times. The Kicking Horse River (upper section), still at high water, and a crew of talented paddlers. Thanks to Lisa Scott (green piranha), Mike Reeder (orange necky) and Jair Stolz (red dagger) for the action, and to Larry, Pierre and Evan for their company – next time guys!!
Enjoy.
