Mount 7 holds a special attraction for me.  Not only do I live at the foot of this beautiful mountain, my wife and I have lodges named after it (Mount 7 Lodges), and over the last 8 years it has delivered numerous great experiences – the psychosis bike races, tandem paragliding flights, skiing the ’7′ with friends, and each time I am up there I am blown away by the great light that is frequently there when I take my camera out.

Canada Day also holds a special place in my heart.  Not only is it my adopted country’s ‘birthday’, but it is the anniversary of the date my wife and I were granted citizenship to this great country.

Yesterday it seemed like combining the two was a good plan! Canada Day evening on Mount 7 delivered beautiful light, a perfect ’7′, a nearly full moon, and the Canada Day fireworks well below me in Golden…..
